Production Blog: An Update on the Madness.

 Hey blog, it’s Mai’Lyia again! Today I’ll be discussing the certain things I have been thinking about while the upcoming process of filming is approaching. The filming of my short movie will be pushed back a bit due to certain things that came up, like school or just issues in general. I still have my storyboard and my ideas for my film. I need to start soon however to begin actually getting feedback from others and learning what I need to fix and what not to fix. All the research I have used for horror/thriller will be going into play as I noticed shots. Shots include like quick cuts, low lighting and unsettling music or none at all to build tension. On my planning blog, I will have to adjust the dates I actually want to film and break it down more equivalently. Shooting the film will probably take over 2 days maybe 3.In my further blogs, I’ll go more in depth with the whole processes such as how it came out tor the editing process. For now, in this blog I’m heavily focusing on the pre-production phase. I just want to make sure I have everything ready and no mishaps happen. I will be using my phone as usual to record. I want to also use my sister’s microphone she bought. This will help the overall feedback in the background to be canceled out. It will also highlight the protagonists voice and noises like heavy breathing or scared tone. Once I actually bean filming I will take all these into account and think about it more. I’ll probably start now, and film like a minute a day to get most of it done in a timely manner. Again, I’ll be using most of my family for the project since it’s the most convenient thing to do.
