Production Blog - Filming Day No. 2… 1/2

Hey Blog! Mai’Lyia here! Im back again with another rant about the production process of my film… with a minor setback. So, in my film, there is scene where the main character, Renee, or my sister, is supposed to “hit” the victim with a car. Ultimately, this part really stressed me out because I wanted to make it as realistic as possible, which is why I gave it its only separate ranting blog. My little brother is supposed to be the victim and I want to take very very serious precautions as my sister is also going to behind the wheel. I eventually came to a conclusion, after stressing and talking about what I should do for almost 2 hours. Instead of making it seem real, it’ll just be a black and white flashback of Renee gripping the wheel along. Also, I’ll include some sound effects of sirens and the tires screeching to give it that real effect. Aha, super super easy idea, while still getting the feeling of the film across to my viewers I’ll make sure to capture her expressions and just show one shot of my little brother on the floor. Of course, my parents will be out their monitoring and making absolute sure we’re are safe. Originally, this would’ve been the last day for filming, but this took a bit time to figure out, so I gave it its separate day. Also, I set aside editing this specific as well. It took a bit more work than all the other scenes, requiring more attention because of the intensity. Overall, I got figured out, and even asked my sisters if it looked good. I also want a to be sure not to include shots where the license plate number is visible. So, it was a lot just for this on scene honestly.

Thats all for now! Thanks for listening to my blog once again. Hoped my rant made intentions of my blog more clear and interesting. Until next time, MJ out.
