Filming Blog: Starting the Process

Filming was honestly pretty simple and was really fun. In order to film, Ludji and Joel came over my house for the weekend. When we were filming it was simple but hard at the same time. It can be awkward to be filmed and it was funny to be honest. We had to retake many scenes over again in order to a close to perfect video. It took us about 3 hours to film the video. A lot of times we had to restart the scenes because someone would laugh or there would be noise in the background that made it sound off. We filmed in many different spots in my house. For example, my room, my sisters room, my brother’s room, the living room, the kitchen, and the back of the house. The main spot or setting of the video was the back of house where the washing machine and dryer are located. The purpose of recording in the back was to create more of an eerie vibe. Also, while we were filming it had to be somewhat dark so we waited to film once it got darker. Joel first filmed Ludji’s part when she was sitting on the couch talking to her friend. Then Joel also filmed my part when I was sitting on my bed talking to the friend on the other line. Joel also recorded when Ludji had to walk into the kitchen to the laundry and so forth. I then finally got to record and had to film her walking to the room after she was creeped out. I also filmed the part when she got jump-scared. Filming certain parts in the dark was a bit difficult because the camera doesn’t have the best quality in the dark. However, we figured it out in the end. In all, filming was really fun and would definitely want to work on another film with them.
